Flux Theatre began 10 years ago as a passionate dance company, performing on stages all over the Bay Area and captivating audiences with our innovative approach to pole and dance. As our reputation grew, so did our ambitions. Recognizing the need for a dedicated space to nurture and expand our artistic vision, we opened our own brick-and-mortar dance studio, providing a home for pole and dance enthusiasts to train, create, and connect.

When the pandemic hit, theaters were shuttered left and right, leaving a void in our vibrant arts community. Refusing to stand by, we decided to be part of the solution. We built our own theatre—a space not just for our company, but for the entire artistic community. Since then, Flux Vertical Theatre, our in house dance company, has proudly hosted three major theatrical productions, and numerous variety shows that highlight the diverse talents within our community.

Our theatre has become more than just a stage; it’s a safe haven for self-expression, welcoming the burlesque and kink scenes, as well as providing a platform for other dance studios in the area to bring their students' performances to life. We’ve also had the honor of hosting the Stacey Printz Dance Company, further solidifying our space as a cornerstone of the Bay Area arts community.

Through all these stages of growth, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to creativity, community, and the power of performance. As a female-owned and operated organization, we take pride in fostering a space where art thrives, empowerment flourishes, and the joy of creation is celebrated.
