Our Creative Founders.
At Flux Theatre, we believe in the transformative power of the performing arts to inspire, challenge, and connect our community. Our leadership team is a reflection of that belief, driven by a shared passion for creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
Leah Marie and Kirsten Gerding are the visionary forces behind Flux Theatre, serving as both Artistic Directors and integral members of our Board of Directors. Their dual roles ensure that artistic integrity and organizational direction are closely aligned, guiding Flux Theatre to new heights. Laura has provided much needed support to Flux since the beginning and continues to be a huge part of our process.
Together, Leah, Kirsten, and Laura form a leadership team that is not only deeply invested in the arts but also in the well-being and growth of our community. Their combined expertise and passion guide Flux Theatre in its mission to be a beacon of creativity, inclusion, and artistic excellence in the East Bay and beyond.
Leah Marie, as our Treasurer and Artistic Director, brings a wealth of experience in financial stewardship and creative vision. Her background in both finance and the arts allows her to navigate the complex balance between fiscal responsibility and artistic risk-taking. Leah's dedication to fostering a supportive and innovative environment has been instrumental in shaping the dynamic and inclusive culture at Flux Theatre.
